The regional presidents and leaders of the Popular Party signed the 'Zaragoza Declaration' this Sunday to present their regional financing proposal, opposing the plan put forth by Pedro Sánchez's Government.

The regional presidents of the Popular Party and the leaders from communities where they do not govern signed the Zaragoza Declaration yesterday, Sunday, at the World Trade Center auditorium in Zaragoza. This document outlines the party's alternative proposal for regional financing.
The president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, participated in the event and promised to detail the declaration's content during his speech. This summit was convened to display a united front by the PP against the Government of Pedro Sánchez.

The Government's financing proposal is considered by the PP leaders as a pact among separatists designed to keep Pedro Sánchez in power.

The PP's reaction stems from the new financing proposal announced last week, which would grant Catalonia approximately 4.7 billion euros in additional funds. The PP warned that if Congress approves the law based on the proposal by the Minister of Finance, María Jesús Montero, it will be repealed when Feijóo reaches the Moncloa.
