The City Councilor for Public Safety in Manresa, Anjo Valentí, praised on March 13 the effective coordination between the Local Police, Mossos d'Esquadra, and the Islamic community.

The statement follows recent disturbances and an assault near the Al-Fath mosque on Via Sant Ignasi. Security measures were increased after the religious community reported the issues, leading to the identification and arrest of the suspects by the Mossos d'Esquadra.

"When the Al-Fath mosque community reported these problems, the controls were intensified."

Local authorities described the events as acts of vandalism carried out by uncivil youths, mostly minors. While preventive patrols are standard during Ramadan, Valentí emphasized that the swift police response was crucial in restoring order to the neighborhood.
