The Manresa City Council will begin pavement repair works on Monday, January 26, along the Passeig de la República to address deterioration hindering pedestrian mobility and accessibility.

The intervention will focus on the damaged grouting of the granite pieces, covering an area of 288 m² between the Plaça de la Reforma and the Carrer de Talamanca, specifically on the odd-numbered side. This action is essential to improve accessibility for people with reduced mobility.

The main objective of the action is to solve the deterioration of the granite piece grouting that hinders accessibility and mobility for people with reduced mobility.

The works, budgeted at 29,538.79 euros, are estimated to last approximately one month from the start date of January 26. The tasks involve demolishing the damaged mortar, cleaning, and applying new grouting, all while maintaining vehicle traffic flow throughout the duration.
This improvement was approved by the Municipal Plenary during the session held last February, receiving favorable votes from the municipal groups ERC, PSC, Impulsem, Junts, Fem Manresa, and FNC. The motion that initiated the project was originally presented by the Junts municipal group.
