Despite it being Saturday and having fewer travelers than a weekday, dozens of people suffered the uncertainty of not knowing if they would reach their destination. Since early morning, trains accumulated significant delays, adding to the cancellations and delays recorded on Friday, just after rail circulation had been restored.
The definitive suspension of the service was announced around 1:00 PM to guarantee the safety and operability of the transport. In total, fourteen out of twenty-three trains departing from or arriving at the capital of Segrià were suspended. On the RL4 line (Lleida to Terrassa), 5 of the 8 scheduled trips were canceled, while on the RL3 (Lleida to Cervera), two convoys were suspended.
The most significant delay was recorded on the train scheduled to depart at 11:12 AM from Lleida bound for Terrassa-Barcelona, which already had more than an hour's delay before leaving and was ultimately affected by the total suspension. Renfe had to contract an alternative bus after users waited for more than two hours.
The stations of Cervera and Tàrrega were completely empty. The coaches contracted by Renfe as alternative transport were awaiting orders at 9:30 AM at the Cervera bus station, although they were later redirected towards Calaf. The general feeling among those affected was in agreement with the suspension if guaranteed compliance with routes and schedules could not be met.
