The mysterious erotic tile, depicting vulvas and penises forming a star, has vanished from the south side of the Canal de la Mina bridge, near Font del Soroll and Viladordis, in Manresa. Its removal occurred shortly after the media outlet Regió7 reported on it, and a regular walker in the area documented its absence.
This incident is not isolated, as the phenomenon of erotic tiles, which began appearing between Manresa and Solsona in 2023 and have spread across various bridges and viaducts in Catalonia, seems not to be to everyone's liking. Recently, disappearances and damages to other pieces have been reported.
In areas such as Palà de Torroella and Valls de Torroella, several tiles have been removed or struck. A resident of Palà de Torroella noted that there is a semi-broken tile in the Vallbona stream area. They have also been torn from bridge walls and passages in places like the Rata neighborhood, in Sant Salvador de Torroella, at Can Flautes, or on the walkway towards Salipota, in Súria.
They are removing them, and those they cannot remove are left damaged.
According to a neighbor, the erotic tiles arrived in the Valls and Palà areas in several batches, first on older and main bridges, and then even on small stream bridges. The removal of these pieces is not complex, as it can be done with tools such as a screwdriver or a chisel and hammer.
