Judge Adolfo Carretero has ordered an oral trial against former Sumar deputy Íñigo Errejón for the alleged sexual assault of actress Elisa Mouliaá, which reportedly occurred in late October 2021.

Magistrate Adolfo Carretero formally opened the oral trial against the former parliamentary spokesperson for Sumar, Íñigo Errejón, for an alleged sexual assault crime reported by actress Elisa Mouliaá. The order, accessed by Europa Press, stipulates that Errejón must post a bond of 30,000 euros to cover potential financial liabilities.
This decision was made against the criteria of the Prosecutor's Office. The investigating judge has summoned Errejón on January 15 at 9:30 a.m. to formally notify him of the opening of the oral trial and demand the bond. The resolution follows thirteen months of investigation, during which the accused, the complainant, witnesses, and psychiatrists were questioned.

"Her statement is coherent in the essential aspects. The possible gaps or contradictions were clarified before this instructor, maintaining coherence."

According to Mouliaá's complaint, the events took place after a book presentation by Errejón. The judge considered that “the evidence exists and has not been totally discredited by the version of the investigated party, his expert and documentary evidence,” emphasizing that the actress's testimony is the main piece of evidence.
Judge Carretero stressed that Mouliaá “had no spurious motive, enmity, hatred, or revenge” against Errejón. He justified the complainant's lack of immediate reaction due to her “emotional block” given the situation and the personality of the alleged aggressor, who at the time was “an important politician,” in addition to the effect of alcohol and medication she was taking.
