"When a child speaks, when they ask for help, the public system must be prepared to respond in a coordinated, respectful, and effective manner."

Mònica Martínez Bravo · Minister of Social Rights and Inclusion
The Minister of Social Rights and Inclusion, Mònica Martínez Bravo, attributed this increase to the full deployment of the Barnahus model and greater confidence in the service by professionals and families. The model brings together specialized teams from various fields in the same space to offer coordinated care and reduce re-victimization.
Regarding the victim profile, 77.1% of the cases attended across Catalonia are girls. The most prevalent age group is 12 to 15 years old, accounting for 34.79% of the total, followed by 5 to 8 years old with 27.73%.
