Casa Navàs in Reus hosted a presentation on Tuesday, December 16, where architects Joan Tous and Xavier Nualart detailed the complex reconstruction process of the original turret designed by Lluís Domènech i Montaner.

The session, titled 'The Reconstruction of the Casa Navàs Turret', focused on the rigorous investigation, documentation, and execution work that made it possible to recover this key element of the Modernist masterpiece.
The speakers, directly involved in the project, shared the turret's historical context, the heritage criteria applied, and the technical and conceptual challenges involved in ensuring maximum fidelity to the original design.
The turret, located at the corner between Jesús street and Mercadal square in Reus, was destroyed in 1938 due to bombings during the Spanish Civil War. The placement of the first stone of the new structure took place last November, marking the visible start of the restoration work.
This initiative will have a second session on December 18, at seven in the evening, again at Casa Navàs, aimed at professionals, students, and the public interested in delving into the details of this heritage restoration.
