The town of Cambrils, in Baix Camp, is preparing to celebrate 60 years of its Pubillatge tradition with a tribute event and the opening of the call for new representatives for 2026.

Next Sunday, May 17, Cambrils will host a commemorative event in the courtyard of the Torre del Llimó at 5:30 PM. This celebration will serve to pay homage to all the people who have kept the Pubillatge tradition alive for six decades.
In parallel, the Festivities Department of Cambrils City Council will open the call for the election of the Pubillatge de Cambrils 2026 on Monday, April 13. Those chosen will have the responsibility of representing the municipality in the various popular and traditional events and festivities held.
Individuals interested in becoming Pubilla or Hereu can submit their application personally or on behalf of an entity. The deadline for formalizing registrations will be May 13.
The Cambrils Pubillatge Commission, made up of former Pubilles and Hereus, is actively collaborating in organizing the election process. This year, they are promoting various actions through social media and directly to encourage young people from Cambrils to participate.
The graphic image accompanying the call's guidelines is the work of Cambrils artist Marta Nolla. Since the celebration of the 50th anniversary in 2016, Nolla has been responsible for illustrating the characteristic figures representing the Pubillatge de Cambrils. This year, coinciding with the 60th anniversary, the artist has updated the design to adapt it to current times.
