The Mayor of Cambrils, Oliver Klein, has confirmed that the town will intensify its crackdown on illegal street vending this March, coinciding with the start of the tourist season.

The local government plans to deploy police officers during the night and install physical obstacles along the main promenade. These measures aim to prevent vendors from setting up their stalls in public spaces during the busy Easter period.

"The strategy started last year will continue or be redoubled. The sooner we start, the sooner they will understand that we do not want this illegal practice."
