The president of the CCMA, Rosa Romà, has addressed the controversy regarding the broadcast of the show Trencadís: De la Natura a la Llum in Reus, featuring an AI-generated Antoni Gaudí speaking Spanish.

In a written response to the Parliament of Catalonia, Romà explained that the 3Cat sports department recommended the broadcast due to the high level of the participating skaters. The event was organized by the Reus City Council and the Spanish Skating Federation, without editorial intervention from the public broadcaster.

"The artistic creation and development of the gala, as well as its contents, were the responsibility of the personnel designated by the Skating Federation."

The use of Spanish by the Gaudí recreation sparked criticism, as the architect was famously arrested in 1924 for refusing to speak Spanish to the police. Romà clarified that while the show's content was external, the 3Cat journalistic narration was entirely in Catalan.
