The Centre de Lectura de Reus organizes the 'Presidentes' cycle during February and March 2026 to highlight female leadership in key city institutions, coinciding with International Women's Day.

The cycle, which is part of the commemorative events for International Women's Day 2026, consists of three dialogues taking place at the Emili Argilaga Hall, all at 7 PM. The sessions can also be followed live via the Centre de Lectura's YouTube channel.
The first meeting will be held on February 25 and will feature Empar Pont, the first president of the Centre de Lectura de Reus, and Sandra Guaita, the first mayor of the city of Reus. The dialogue will be moderated by Mònica Cid, director of Canal Reus TV.
The second session will take place on March 2, featuring Dolors Sardà, the first president of the Fundació Teatre Fortuny, and Mónica Balsells, the first president of Reus Deportiu. The moderation will be handled by Agnès Toda, president of Òmnium Baix Camp.

The cycle aims to contribute to the visibility of women's roles in decision-making and leadership spaces, as well as to foster debate on the social and institutional changes occurring in the city.

The cycle will conclude on March 4 with a dialogue between Patrícia Terradelles, the first president of El Círcol de Reus, and Noemí Llauradó, the first president of the Diputació de Tarragona. The session will be moderated by Natàlia Rodríguez, director of the Diari de Tarragona.
