Dozens of R-15 users gathered at Reus station on Monday, January 26, morning, suffering the cancellation of two trains and a lack of information, forcing them to seek alternatives to reach Barcelona.
The regional trains scheduled for 8:36 am and 9:06 am were ultimately cancelled, forcing travelers to board a bus to Tarragona station to catch a train to Barcelona. This alternative service departed around 9:30 am, while the subsequent regional train, the 9:36 am service, only suffered a five-minute delay.
The chaos was exacerbated by misinformation and poor management of alternatives. Passenger Ramon Puig, who had left Juneda before 5 am, described a situation of logistical confusion that caused many users to lose hours of travel time.

"In Vinaixa there were four large buses and one small one and nobody knew what we had to do; they took us to La Plana-Picamoixons and sent us to Reus."
Another affected commuter, Artur Baiges, who was heading to Barcelona-Gràcia for work, lamented the lack of clarity in Renfe's communications. He reported that the information on the screens was not updated and that the situation was one of constant uncertainty.
The situation forced some users to resort to high-cost solutions. Marta Corts, a student from Riudoms who needed to reach Girona for her internship, had to ask her parents to drive her to Camp de Tarragona station to catch the AVE high-speed train.

"My intention was to leave yesterday, but all the trains were cancelled. I needed to arrive at work for my internship today at eight in the morning. I already warned that I would arrive quite late, but right now I imagine I won't arrive at all."
