As a notable new feature, Mas Miró introduces 'Flavors of Mas Miró', an initiative that enriches the visit with a gastronomic and sensory dimension. This proposal highlights Joan Miró's deep connection with the land of Mont-roig, allowing visitors to explore it through taste with a selection of local products such as hazelnuts, almonds, arbequina olives, 'coca de recapte', and carob cookies.
Among the scheduled activities, on Friday, April 3, at 10:30 AM, the family collage workshop 'Miró and Objects' will take place. Both children and adults can delve into the collage technique, drawing inspiration from Joan Miró's work and creating their own compositions based on the spaces that inspired the artist.
On the same Friday, at 11:00 AM, a guided tour of Mas Miró will be offered, including a journey through the family home, the workshop, the cellar, and the chapel, discovering the places that were fundamental in the artist's life and work.
On Saturday, April 4, at 11:00 AM, the 'masovera' (farm manager) of the Mas will lead a theatrical experience that will recreate the stories and experiences that inspired Joan Miró, emphasizing the role of women in his career. At 11:30 AM, Judit Robert will present 'The Story of Master Antoni Benaiges', a storytelling session based on a true story about a teacher who transformed his students' future. Afterwards, a bookmark design collage workshop will be held with Cristina Rom, the book's illustrator.
Finally, on Sunday, April 5, at 12:00 PM, visitors can enjoy the new 'Flavors of Mas Miró' experience, which combines a guided tour with a tasting to explore Joan Miró's connection with the land of Mont-roig through the senses.
Starting March 31, Mas Miró will extend its opening hours, being open from Tuesday to Saturday, from 10 AM to 2 PM and from 3:30 PM to 6 PM. On Sundays, the farmhouse will be open only in the morning, and on Mondays, it will remain closed. Capacity for all activities is limited, and tickets can be purchased through the official Mas Miró website.
This new season follows a very positive 2025 for Mas Miró, with a significant increase in visitors. The months of August and September were particularly successful, registering an increase of approximately 500 monthly visitors. Among the most notable activities of the previous year were the concert by Ana Carla Maza and José Luis Nieto, the Sant Miquel festivities with an open day and the family show 'Tornem al Safareig', as well as the exhibition 'Joan Miró / Josep Royo. Tapestries', which received 4,776 visitors.
