The People's Party municipal group at Reus City Council will present a motion this Friday to criticize the management of the Public Space Department and demand more efficient actions in the city.

The conservative party focuses on the maintenance of public spaces, including lighting, street furniture, and cleaning. According to the group, the councilor in charge, Daniel Marcos, has repeatedly ignored complaints from residents and businesses, as well as opposition proposals between 2023 and 2025.
Regarding the Barri a Barri project, which has a 2 million euro budget since January 2025, the PP considers the results unsatisfactory. Despite the thousands of actions announced by the local government, the group claims many interventions are low quality and fail to provide structural improvements in Reus.

"Management is not being efficient and the results are not satisfactory. The city does not show the expected structural improvement."

Finally, the motion calls for a change in the urban maintenance model. The People's Party advocates for strengthening the Municipal Brigade with more staff and internal resources, reducing reliance on external outsourcing.
