The Ohana Reus organization held a celebration for Eid al-Fitr in Reus this Sunday, March 22nd, bringing together 200 people to foster coexistence among the city's diverse cultures.

The initiative, led by Ibtissam Cheddadi, head of Ohana Reus, used the festival marking the end of Ramadan as a bridge between communities. The main goal of the event was not strictly religious, but rather to create a meeting space where residents of various nationalities could share gastronomy, experiences, and culture in an inclusive environment.

"We take advantage of this special date to hold a meeting that brings together not only Moroccans or Muslims, but also other nationalities. We want to open up and for people to open up."

The event also featured testimonies from young entrepreneurs aimed at inspiring attendees through stories of personal growth. The organizers emphasized that such events are vital for social cohesion in Reus and do not rule out celebrating other festivities, such as Christmas, to continue bringing different communities together.
