City officials in Reus presented the 2026 Holy Week schedule this Wednesday, revealing a new procession on Holy Monday alongside significant historical restorations.

The main addition to the Reus religious calendar is the Solemn Procession of Compassion and Mercy, organized by the Brotherhood of Saint Veronica. This event joins long-standing traditions such as the Procession of Silence and the Three Graces.

"It is one of the most anticipated moments of our festive calendar, attracting both locals and many visitors from outside the city."

The 2026 edition celebrates several milestones, including the 80th anniversary of the Procession of Silence. Key religious artworks, such as the Judas' Kiss and the Pietà, have also been restored for this year's celebrations.
