Several towns in the Baix Camp and Alt Camp regions have voiced their frustration over repeated power outages, a situation that has worsened during recent wind storms in the area.

Municipalities such as Alcover, Vilaplana, and Almoster report that service interruptions have become a regular occurrence. In Alcover, recent outages lasting up to six hours left residents without drinking water, as local wells rely on electric pumps. Mayor Robert Figueras noted that the lack of power even necessitated elevator rescues.

"All the repairs that have been made, instead of improving, have worsened the line. We have difficulties that are aggravated when there is a storm."

In Vilaplana, Mayor Josep Bigorra stated that they have experienced at least one blackout per month since August. Meanwhile, in Almoster, councilor Josep Llonch complained about constant micro-outages damaging household appliances in the Picarany neighborhood.
Utility company Endesa attributes the incidents to wind gusts exceeding 100 km/h and denies any lack of investment. However, local authorities criticize the lack of real-time information and the slow response times, particularly when fire risk protocols require manual inspections of the lines.
