The gale, with gusts reaching 156 km/h in Valls, forced the mobilization of emergency services. Of the total alerts received by the Firefighters, 261 originated in Camp de Tarragona and 55 in Terres de l'Ebre. The most affected towns include Mont-roig del Camp, Reus, Valls, and l'Hospitalet de l'Infant.
The 112 emergency telephone managed 448 calls, generating 316 incidents, with Baix Camp concentrating 52.12% of the communications, followed by Alt Camp (11.79%). Alerts primarily concerned obstacles on public roads, fallen trees (such as in Plaça dels Pins in Valls), and minor detachments of facade elements, solar panels, and street furniture.
This indication is effective immediately and will be maintained until further notice, for safety reasons.
In Valls, the City Council issued a warning to the population and closed all public parks, suspending outdoor sports activities. In Riudoms, the facade of the CAP suffered damage. For its part, the Tarragona City Council also suspended outdoor sports activities, as wind gusts approached 90 km/h at the Educational Complex.
The Catalan Traffic Service (SCT) reported restrictions for articulated vehicles on the AP-7 between Cambrils and l'Ampolla in both directions. Furthermore, one lane had to be closed in Mont-roig del Camp due to fallen trees, and Avinguda de l'Alcalde Palau in Amposta was cut off due to the risk of falling balconies.
