Reus Airport started January 2026 with a significant 57.3% decrease in passenger traffic, recording only 589 travelers according to official data from Aena.

The airport management attributed the decline to poor weather conditions affecting general aviation and flight schools. Aircraft movements also fell by 16.8% compared to January 2025.
The commercial season is expected to kick off in March with Ryanair and Jet2 flights. New routes from EasyJet to London and Newcastle are set to boost numbers for the upcoming summer period.
