The Linguistic Normalization Center (CNL) of the Reus Area Miquel Ventura is involved in Reus's Correllengua 2026, encouraging citizens and its students to participate in the Language March on Saturday, October 24th.

The initiative aims to activate the use of Catalan among the general population and the entity's students. The march will culminate in Plaça de la Llibertat with a festive event. The Reus CNL is part of segment number 4, scheduled to pass along Passeig de Misericòrdia at 11:40 AM.
Previously, at 10:45 AM, a storytelling activity has been organized with the Mestres Àvies Recuperadores de Contes (MARC), followed by breakfast and table tennis games thanks to the collaboration of the Club de Tennis Taula Ganxets de Reus. In Plaça de la Llibertat, before the march arrives, there will be Scrabble games facilitated by the International Federation of Scrabble in Catalan.
Additionally, on Thursday, October 15th, at 6:00 PM, the open talk «El català, llengua de trobada: teixint ponts entre cultures» (Catalan, a meeting language: weaving bridges between cultures) will take place at the Escola Teresa Miquel, led by activist Istar Montull. The speaker will explore the common ground between Catalan and Amazigh, a language spoken by millions.
During school hours on the same day, October 15th, Istar Montull will give a talk to 5th and 6th graders at Escola Teresa Miquel titled «Parlem llengües, descobrim mons: català i amazic» (We speak languages, we discover worlds: Catalan and Amazigh). This activity aims to introduce the Amazigh language, its writing system (Tifinagh), and the linguistic diversity of our environment through games and comparisons.
The CNL has also prepared a special edition of the monthly newsletter Cultura en català for October with recommendations and will raffle Correllengua t-shirts among those who register via the form before October 19th. It also reminds attendees of the improvised rap competition on Friday, October 9th, at 5:00 PM at La Palma, followed by a party with DJs.
