The Cancer League of the Regions of Tarragona and Terres de l'Ebre organized the fourth annual event to commemorate World Cancer Day on Sunday, February 1, at La Llotja in Reus.

The event, which is consolidating its position as a key reference in the territory, took place for the fourth consecutive year in Reus and gathered nearly a hundred participants. The main goal is to bring the reality of the disease closer to the public through the voices of experts, health professionals, and personal testimonies.
The day began with the institutional welcome delivered by the President of the League, Dr. Agustina Sirgo. The conferences focused on presenting current cancer data and the new research lines being actively developed in the region.

Prevention, early detection, and research are the fundamental and essential pillars in the constant fight against cancer.

In addition to the informative and scientific segment, the event included a solidarity raffle thanks to the collaboration of associated businesses from El Tomb de Reus. The commemoration concluded with a traditional solidarity vermouth at Plaça Prim, reinforcing the community spirit of the initiative.
The organization emphasized the crucial role of volunteers and local delegations, as well as the involvement of all collaborating entities and institutions that ensure the continued growth of this annual event.
