Reus Deportiu Brasilia started the second round of the OK Liga with a 5-3 defeat on Sunday, January 11, at the Alcoi rink, despite the three goals scored by captain Joan Salvat.

Following their Champions League victory against Igualada, the team led by coach Jordi Garcia traveled to the Complex Esportiu Francisco Laporta seeking a win against a rival known for its home strength, coached by Lorenzo Pastor.
Although Reus started intensely, creating clear chances through Guillem Jansà, Maxi Oruste, and Marc Julià, the hosts struck first with goals from Joan Pascual (8th minute) and Gonzalo Pérez (10th minute). The red-and-blacks reacted thanks to two individual efforts by Joan Salvat, who leveled the score at 2-2 before halftime.
In the second half, Alcoi regained the lead with goals from “Caco” Ceschin (31st minute) and Biel Autet (38th minute), making it 4-2. With 45 seconds remaining, Salvat completed his hat-trick (4-3), but Jordi Garcia’s decision to play without a goalkeeper was punished by Manel Hernández, who sealed the 5-3 victory into an empty net in the final second.

This defeat, the third away loss in the league this season, moves Reus Deportiu further away from the top positions in the standings.

Reus Deportiu will host Cerdanyola next Sunday at 4:00 PM at the Palau d’Esports, aiming to return to winning ways.
