The Reus City Council has reviewed the implementation of the 2022–2027 Local Youth Plan, achieving 85.9% execution of its 78 measures with two years remaining until completion.

The strategic document, approved in March 2022, was updated from 71 to 78 actions to better suit the evolving needs of young people. Currently, 67 measures are actively underway in key areas such as employment, health, and culture.
Key initiatives include the launch of Nexes, a pioneering sexual and emotional health service, the promotion of the Casal Móvil, and the Punt Jove at the Pere Anguera Library. Furthermore, the Youth Employment Support Program assisted 148 young people last year, resulting in 94 job or training placements.

"Youth is not a problem, but a group with challenges and potential, and our responsibility is to place them at the center of public policies with rights, proximity, and opportunities."

Daniel Marcos · Youth Councillor
This expansion has been supported by a sustained increase in resources. The Youth Service staff grew from 8 professionals in 2022 to 13 in 2025. The budget increased by over 100% between 2023 and 2026, significantly exceeding the Plan's own recommendations. Final challenges include reaching 100% execution and initiating the review process for a new Plan in 2027.
