The Hospital Universitari Sant Joan de Reus inaugurated an exhibition on January 23, 2026, on the -1 floor to mark the 15th anniversary of its relocation to the current facilities on Avinguda Josep Laporte.

The exhibition, located on the -1 floor concourse next to the doctors' gallery, displays informative panels, photographs from the relocation day donated by the professionals, and restored models of both the old hospital on Carrer de Sant Joan and the current one. The restoration of these models was made possible through the collaboration of the Associació Amics de l'Hospital de Reus and the Fundació Reddis.
A key highlight of the commemoration is the display of 49 doctoral theses read at the hospital over the past fifteen years, located on the ground floor concourse. This initiative underscores the center's commitment to scientific knowledge advancement and its academic contribution.
The anniversary also highlights other milestones within the Sant Joan Reus-Baix Camp network, such as the 15th anniversary of the Hospital Lleuger Antoni de Gimbernat de Cambrils (in 2025), the 25th anniversary of the primary care centers in Selva del Camp and Marià Fortuny de Reus, and the 30th anniversary of the CAP Riudoms. Furthermore, 2026 marks the 35th anniversary of the opening of the CAP Vandellòs-l'Hospitalet.
The inauguration ceremony, which began with a minute of silence in memory of the victims of recent railway accidents, had been postponed. It was originally scheduled for December 19, coinciding with the exact relocation date in 2010, but was delayed due to safety measures established following an increase in respiratory infections.
