The mayor of Móra d'Ebre, Rubén Biarnés, announced the temporary relocation of the SEM medical helicopter to the 112 facilities in Reus due to technical and safety reasons.

The decision follows a flight incident involving power lines in Garcia a few weeks ago. According to Rubén Biarnés, the Generalitat is working to terminate the contract with Eliance, and the new service provider has requested the move to Reus until new facilities are ready.

"The new company taking over the service wants to move the aircraft to Reus until the new facilities are available."

The relocation is strictly technical to comply with safety regulations. The Department of Health has committed that the stay at the 112 complex will be temporary until the new Móra d'Ebre heliport is operational, expected by 2027.
Local authorities are currently evaluating four potential sites near the Hospital Comarcal de Móra d'Ebre. The municipal government aims to resolve this strategic challenge urgently, despite geographic constraints and criticism from the UGT union regarding previous delays.
