Casa Navàs in Reus hosted the annual meeting of the AEHT Expert Council, bringing together leading chefs from the province of Tarragona recognized with Repsol Suns and Michelin Stars.
During the event, the collective's new chef jackets, designed by artist David Callau, were presented, and the synergy between the chemical industry and tourism was highlighted, as well as gastronomy's role as a driver for regional projection.
The gathering was attended by the mayor of Reus, Sandra Guaita; the director of Repsol's Industrial Complex in Tarragona, Javier Sancho; the president of the AEHT Federation, Francesc Pintado; the coordinator of the Expert Council, Manel Ortiz; and the designer himself, David Callau.
One of the most significant moments was the presentation of the jackets to the chefs joining the Expert Council. This garment, conceived by David Callau, symbolizes the shared identity, talent, and recognition of the province's culinary excellence, strengthening the collective's cohesion and projecting a modern image of Tarragona's gastronomy.

"Chemistry and hospitality share the same philosophy of teamwork, innovation, and commitment to quality. The chemical and tourism industries are agents committed to the territory, its prosperity, and the well-being of its inhabitants. In Camp de Tarragona, there is room for both activities. Chemistry and tourism are necessary activities and contribute, each from its own sphere, to making a better Camp de Tarragona."
Sancho emphasized the complementarity between industry and tourism as strategic pillars for the region's development, highlighting the existing collaboration between Repsol and the AEHT in advocating for these two economic drivers.
“
"The backbone of our culinary talent and a platform that promotes the knowledge and experience of the great chefs of the territory."
The event championed gastronomy as a key differentiating factor and projection tool for the Camp de Tarragona, with the AEHT Expert Council serving as a platform of prestige and knowledge for the leading names in the region's cuisine.
