The trial against five men accused of exchanging gunfire between two rival groups in Reus in January 2024 has concluded at the Tarragona Court and is now awaiting a verdict.

The sessions held at the Audiencia de Tarragona (Provincial Court of Tarragona) concluded this Friday with the presentation of the final reports by both the defense and the prosecution, regarding the events in Reus in January 2024.
The prosecution firmly maintained its request for prison sentences ranging between 20 and 32 years for each of the defendants. The charges include attempted homicide, illegal possession of prohibited firearms, and arms storage.
Conversely, the various defense teams have requested the full acquittal of all five men. They argue that the direct involvement of the accused in the events that took place in Reus has not been conclusively proven during the judicial process.
Although the trial has concluded and is awaiting sentencing, the five defendants will remain in provisional custody until the court issues its final resolution on the case.
