L'Ametlla de Mar is preparing for the fifteenth edition of the Red Tuna Gastronomic Days, a consolidated event starting this Friday, with its peak on the weekend of April 11 and 12, featuring the Red Tuna Festival at the port.

One of the main novelties of this edition is the relocation of the festival's activities to the dry dock area. This decision aims to expand capacity and improve the distribution of tents and tasting areas, given the large influx of visitors in previous years. In this new location, two large tents will be set up, one of which will, for the first time, include the presence of three wineries from the Terra Alta Designation of Origin, offering wines to pair with the tastings. A relaxation area with a photocall for attendees has also been planned.
The culinary offer will allow visitors to taste both raw dishes, such as sashimi, nigiris, tartar, or makis, and the traditional tuna in romesco with potatoes. The price of each tasting ticket is 5 euros, and to avoid queues during the weekend, the organization has enabled advance sales at the tourist office during the preceding week.
Beyond the port, gastronomic activity extends with the Red Tapas Route, in which 14 local bars participate. Each establishment offers a tuna tapa and an Estrella Damm beer for 5 euros. Based on previous editions, around 12,000 tapas are expected to be served.
In parallel, 17 local restaurants offer monographic menus with prices ranging from 30 to 70 euros. These menus, available from April 10 to 19, feature everything from traditional recipes like tuna rice to innovative creations such as kimchi fritters or brioches filled with tuna cheek.
The program of events is completed with recreational and cultural proposals, including Tuna Cookings supported by Expert Serafí and Siemens, led by different establishments, accompanied by music from local DJs and live performances by groups such as Versió Original and the Windy Coast Band. Scheduled excursions with the Tuna Tour to visit tuna facilities will also take place.
Finally, two contests have been organized: one linked to the tapas route and another via Instagram using the hashtags #tonyinaroja26 and #ametllademar. Prizes include free menus for future gastronomic events in the municipality. All detailed information can be found on the official tourism website of L'Ametlla de Mar.
