The Amposta City Council has begun work on the recovery and rehabilitation of the medieval Miralles Mill, a key piece of local heritage rebuilt using elements from the old castle.

This initiative is part of the ongoing efforts to highlight the historical heritage of the city. The mill, which holds significant symbolic and cultural value, was rebuilt using remains and materials sourced from the old Amposta Castle.
The rehabilitation aims not only to restore the physical structure but also to ensure its long-term conservation and integration into cultural and tourist routes across the Terres de l'Ebre. This project was announced on December 17, 2025.
The Miralles Mill is a testament to the agricultural and hydraulic history of the area, and its recovery is seen as a step forward in preserving the collective memory of the municipality of Amposta.
