Construction of a metal roof over an outdoor sports court in Tortosa.

The local governing board of the Tortosa City Council has approved an extension for the execution period of the installation of a roof over the outdoor sports court of the Temple pavilion, due to high temperatures.

The decision was made after the contractor, Taurus Renovables SL, requested an extension, similar to what happened with the works for the parking lot on the old Renfe grounds. The high temperatures have made outdoor work difficult.
This project, with a budget of 325,490 euros, will provide a double court approved as POL-2 according to the requirements of the Consell Català de l'Esport. The new deadline for completing the work is November 3rd.
The metal roof will cover an area of 1,341 square meters and have a minimum height of 5.72 meters to ensure adequate free space for sports practice. In later phases, perimeter fencing and the possible installation of photovoltaic panels are planned.
