The Deltebre City Council started this February improvement works on several rural roads within the municipality, investing over 500,000 euros to boost safety and local agricultural activity.

The works focus on the renovation of the Córrer, Florensa Est, Florensa Oest, Muntaner, and Cementiri roads. These routes, essential for daily communication, showed significant deterioration due to the passage of time and recent weather conditions.
The total investment for this project amounts to 522,365.39 euros. Out of this total, 344,565.26 euros have been funded through external grants, while the council is adding an extra 75,000 euros for the ordinary maintenance of the rest of the road network.
This intervention is part of the Rural Road Adequacy Plan, a strategic roadmap that foresees a global investment of over 2,000,000 euros until 2028. The final goal is to upgrade nearly 40 kilometers of roads to promote territorial cohesion and economic development.
