The El Perelló City Council has initiated the second edition of its participatory budgets, a mechanism that empowers citizens to directly decide on the allocation of public funds for municipal investments.

This initiative unfolds in five key stages. It begins with a preliminary information phase, followed by the submission of proposals. Currently, it is in the citizen voting period, which will run until April 30. Subsequently, during the month of May, the results will be announced, and the execution of the selected projects is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026.
All individuals registered in the municipality who are 16 years or older by January 1, 2026, are eligible to participate in this vote. The process is open to all residents, without the need to belong to any specific entity.
Voting can be done both online, using digital identification systems such as IdCAT Mòbil, and in person at municipal offices, by presenting the required identification documentation.
The four projects submitted for citizen scrutiny include the improvement and renovation of Christmas lighting, the optimization of access points to the municipality, the climate control of classrooms at the Institut Escola El Perelló, and the installation of a giant bench with the adaptation of the surroundings of the Torre de les Guàrdies.
