The artist Uri KTHR has started creating a large marine-themed mural in the railway underpass at Part de Cala avenue in l'Ametlla de Mar this February.

This artistic intervention aims to radically change the image of a key access point to the town that was previously degraded. The project, authorized by ADIF, combines realistic illustration and concept art to strengthen the municipality's maritime identity.
The work has been hindered by recent weather conditions. Strong winds and rain have forced the artist to pause the process several times, although the transformation is already visible to pedestrians and drivers using the tunnel.
Uri KTHR is a prominent figure in local street art, known for works such as the Sant Pere mural at the old Fishermen's Guild. He also coordinated the Efímurs festival two years ago, which brought a dozen murals to the streets of l'Ametlla de Mar.
