Nine months after the fire that devastated over 3,000 hectares in Paüls and Xerta, a solidarity planting has taken place in the Fornet ravine to begin the recovery of the land.

The initiative, promoted by the councils of Roquetes and Xerta, aims to regenerate part of the agricultural and forest area consumed by the fire. A hundred holm oaks have been planted in an event that brought together about thirty participants.

"When a misfortune of these characteristics occurs, that is when solidarity among municipalities emerges."

The participants, who arrived by bicycle after cycling along the greenway connecting the two towns, contributed to this family-oriented action. This proposal adds to the cleaning tasks being carried out in the areas burned by the fire.
