Tortosa celebrates women's contributions with extensive 'Purple Month' program

The Tortosa City Council has launched Mes Lila (Purple Month), a comprehensive program of cultural and advocacy activities to commemorate March 8th in the capital of Baix Ebre.

This year's program aims to highlight women's contributions across society. Key events include the Dones Inspiradores art installation and the second 8M Awards for Tortosa Women, held this Saturday at the Tortosa Museum.

The schedule features the play La majordoma and a debate on young women in Catalan cinema at the Marcel·lí Domingo Library on March 13th. Special recognition will be given to the Tortosa Women's Collective and the women of the PDE for their social activism.
