The Tortosa City Council has started installing photovoltaic solar panels on the roofs of the Remolins trade fair center and El Temple sports hall this March to boost energy sustainability.

The project represents a total investment of 229.338,21 euros, supported by a 196.114,83 euro grant from the Diputació de Tarragona. The initiative aims to lower the municipal electricity bill through clean energy production.
Two specialized companies, Manteniment i Operació d'Infraestructures SL and Wingreen EPC SL, are carrying out the works. Each location will feature a 100-kilowatt self-consumption system, with an estimated execution time of four weeks for the Remolins site.

"We highlight the municipal government's commitment to the fight against climate change and the transition to clean energy."
