The city of Tortosa has been selected as one of the nine key locations for the 19th edition of World Poetry Day, scheduled for March 2026.

The event, titled Mediterranean Voices: from al-Turtuší to Blai Bonet, will take place at the Cultural Services Exhibition Hall. It aims to showcase territorial diversity through readings by local literary groups and students from the Consorci per a la Normalització Lingüística.
Musician Arturo Gaya will provide the soundtrack for the evening, performing pieces from his latest album Ets tan pobre que només tens diners, highlighting the cultural richness of the Baix Ebre region.
