The initiative focuses on memory, environmental awareness, and territorial recovery, using the Pi del Perillo, a monumental tree severely affected by the fire, as its symbol. Charcoal extracted from this tree has been used as the creative base for the artworks.
The project advocates for the need to rethink forest management and generate spaces for debate to transform the ashes into the future.
Driven by the Club Ciclista Campredó in collaboration with the Centre Cultural i Excursionista de Xerta, the project began with an artistic workshop held last October 25 near the tree. Artists worked with charcoal drawing and watercolor, supported by the Escola d’Art i Cultura de la Diputació de Tarragona.
The second phase culminates with the exhibition Bombolleta, which will be open to the public on February 6, 7, and 8, 2026, at the Espai Cultural La C in Campredó. The exhibition features pieces created during the workshop and other works inspired by the essence of the Pi del Perillo.
This exhibition also includes a solidarity aspect, as funds raised through the sale of artworks and materials will be allocated to environmental and territorial recovery initiatives in the affected municipalities: Xerta, Aldover, Alfara de Carles, and Paüls.
