Baix Empordà mobile recycling service exceeds 100 tons of waste in 2025

The regional service managed over 106,000 kilos of waste, visiting 22 municipalities and small villages daily.

The Baix Empordà County Council closed the 2025 fiscal year with a balance exceeding 100,000 kilos of waste managed through its mobile recycling center service.

The itinerant equipment reached exactly 106,220 kilos of waste, consolidating a service that has been operating in the region for over twenty years. This network facilitates the treatment of special waste and recyclable materials.
Regarding geographic distribution, Jafre was the municipality with the highest volume collected, exceeding 10,000 kilos. Meanwhile, Esclanyà, in Begur, stood out for citizen participation with nearly 400 users.
The service currently reaches 22 locations, including small villages such as Parlavà, Fonolleres, Palau-sator, and Sant Feliu de Boada. Additionally, a new mini-recycling point has been opened in Ullà.
