The town of Begur is launching its 27th Rock Fish Campaign, an initiative running from April 25th to June 7th, combining gastronomic offerings with various cultural and leisure activities.

A total of thirteen restaurants in the municipality are participating in this edition, offering special menus where rock fish is the main ingredient. The culinary proposals, with prices ranging from 55 to 100 euros, aim to satisfy a wide range of palates, always maintaining excellence in the quality of local products.
The campaign, already consolidated in the local calendar, goes beyond gastronomy, integrating culture and territory to showcase Begur's maritime identity. This initiative not only strengthens the work of restaurateurs but also invites residents and visitors to explore the municipality through a complete culinary and cultural experience.

"This campaign is an excellent opportunity to discover the richness of our coastline and the creativity of our chefs, who transform rock fish into true culinary works of art."

The inaugural event, held in Plaça Esteva i Cruañas, was attended by journalist Maria Xinxó and renowned chef Quim Casellas. The day included theater and music performances, as well as a tasting of dishes prepared by participating establishments, accompanied by cava from the Perelada winery. A rock fish croquette competition was also held, and part of the funds raised will be donated to the Projecte Sèpia, adding a solidarity component to the event.
Throughout the campaign weekends, various complementary activities have been scheduled, such as walks, bicycle routes, screenings, and environmental actions. These proposals aim to strengthen the connection with Begur's sea and landscape, enriching participants' experience beyond the gastronomic offerings.
The involvement of local entities such as the Club Excursionista Els Perduts, Esplai Autèntic, and Casal de la Gent Gran underscores the community nature of the initiative. Participants will receive a commemorative Rock Fish stone and can enter a draw for a boat trip along Begur's coastline, adding an experiential element to the campaign. Furthermore, this year's graphic design was created by local students, fostering young talent.
