The exhibition, titled El meu Mediterrani, features nearly fifty paintings characterized by intense colors and expressive brushwork. Daemmrich, who has lived in France for over thirty years, combines Mediterranean landscapes with social reflection in a show that will remain open until mid-April.
This year marks the 44th consecutive arts program organized by the Castell d'Aro, Platja d'Aro i S'Agaró Town Council. The 2026 calendar includes seven major events across three venues, including large-scale sculptures at Parc dels Estanys and works by Guinovart at Masia Bas during the summer.
The Benedormiens Castle, a heritage site dating back to the 11th century, has served as a contemporary art hub since 1983. Visitors can also explore the Municipal Art Collection on the upper floor, showcasing the artistic evolution of the Baix Empordà region over the last four decades.
