The exhibition, titled Vincles. Cuixart conversa amb la Col·lecció Carmen Thyssen, has been organized in collaboration with the Cuixart Foundation. This proposal coincides with the commemoration of the painter's birth centenary and offers a renewed perspective on his artistic career through dialogue with pieces from the Carmen Thyssen Collection and other cultural institutions.
The exhibition route, which can be visited until October, explores more than six decades of creation, from the author's beginnings to his period linked to Dau al Set. The works are presented as a set of presences that interpellated each other, establishing material connections, formal affinities, and symbolic resonances that expand the meaning of the pieces.
The selection includes works that had not been exhibited to the public for decades, which now coexist with works by other prominent authors such as Modest Urgell, Meifren, Miralles, or Miquel Villà. The loans come from various entities, including the MACBA and the Museu d'Art de Girona.
In addition to the activity inside the Monastery, the gardens of the site host various proposals this summer by artists such as Samuel Salcedo, Eulàlia Ramon, and Montserrat Lozano, consolidating the space as a central hub for art creation and exhibition in the Baix Empordà region.
