The Vesprà ceremony at the Palamós Town Hall marked the official start of the 2026 Carnival central events this Wednesday, with festivities scheduled to continue until February 18th.

The King and Queen Perill led the opening ceremony, inviting citizens to participate in a week of traditions including the Children's Parade and the Grand Parade on Saturday, February 14th. Local authorities have coordinated a special mobility plan to manage the expected crowds in the city center.
Significant traffic changes will affect the Sant Joan neighborhood and main streets from Friday to Sunday. To assist visitors, Port Marina de Palamós will provide free parking on Saturday afternoon while la Planassa hosts the main festival concerts.
