The Palamós Town Council expects the comprehensive renovation of the Passeig del Mar to be finished by the end of March, just in time for the Easter holidays.

The project, which started in November 2024, has a total cost of 5,878,780.06 euros, supported by EU Next Generation funds. Current works include laying new paving stones near Enric Vincke street and installing sustainable infrastructure such as 16 electric vehicle charging stations.
In addition to aesthetic upgrades, the promenade will feature a new bike lane and energy-efficient LED lighting. A future second phase of the project aims to restore the beach's dune system and install wooden walkways for direct access to the shore.
