The stabilization of the fire, achieved yesterday, means that the flames are not spreading and remain within the working perimeter, which covers about 3,400 hectares. According to official data, 97% of the burned area is located within the Gavarres Protected Natural Area.
Regarding material damage, eleven buildings have been affected, four of which suffered total damage. Gardens, fences, an industry, and an animal shelter have also been damaged. Despite the favorable evolution, authorities have warned that extinction tasks will be long and complex due to the expected weather conditions, with a heatwave and southern winds.

The emergency device has included the participation of 475 firefighters, 110 ground vehicles, and 16 aerial assets, in addition to the support of the Military Emergency Unit and other security forces and farmers. Access to the massif will remain closed until the extreme heat episode ends.
