Two minor injuries in multi-car accident on C-31 near Gualta

A multi-vehicle accident involving four cars occurred this Thursday midday on the C-31 highway, in the municipality of Gualta, leaving two people with minor injuries.

Emergency services received the alert for the incident at 12:25 PM. The driver of one of the involved cars activated the vehicle's automatic alert system, which notified of the accident. Two fire department units from the Generalitat, along with emergency medical services (SEM) personnel and Mossos d'Esquadra officers, were dispatched to the scene.
One of the injured individuals was transported to the Josep Trueta Hospital in Girona, while the other was taken to Palamós Hospital. According to available information, neither of the affected individuals sustained serious injuries.
The event caused traffic disruptions on the C-31, specifically at the exit from Torroella de Montgrí towards Pals. An alternating traffic system had to be implemented, leading to traffic jams during the response and vehicle removal operations.
