The Consorci de Salut i Social de Catalunya (CSC) has participated in the creation of the Equality Referents Network of the Integral Health System of Public Use of Catalonia (SISCAT), driven by the Catalan Institute of Health (ICS). The aim is to promote collaboration and the exchange of knowledge and best practices.

The network was presented last Thursday at a conference held at the Parc Sanitari Pere Virgili, jointly organized by the ICS, La Unió, and the CSC under the slogan "Connect · Share · Transform".
During the inauguration, the general director of the CSC, Francesc José María, stated that the Network is born from "the shared will to continue building more egalitarian, more inclusive, and more respectful organizations for all people". He added that "it is one of those initiatives that will undoubtedly contribute to driving positive and lasting changes in our institutions and in the healthcare system as a whole".
The conference included the network's constitution ceremony, with the participation of Pilar Rol, executive director of CAPSS. A round table on best practices for equality plans and a presentation of experiences by equality referents from various organizations such as the Institut d’Assistència Sanitària, the Consorci Hospitalari de Vic, the Institut de Diagnòstic per la Imatge, the Consorci Corporació Sanitària Parc Taulí, the Servei de Salut Integrat del Baix Empordà, the Institut Català d’Oncologia, and the ICS were also held.
The event concluded with an intervention by Berta Aznar, executive director of the Catalan Institute for Women of the Department of Equality and Feminism of the Generalitat de Catalunya, who highlighted the importance of continuing to advance in the incorporation of gender perspective and equal opportunities in healthcare and social organizations.
The meeting underscored that, despite progress in equality (equality plans, protocols against harassment, reconciliation measures, awareness initiatives), inequalities, biases, and barriers still persist that need to be decisively identified and addressed.
