The Festa de Sant Miquel, known as the small local festival of Castellví de Rosanes, has ended with notable participation and a satisfactory outcome regarding the new proposals introduced this year. The activities began on Friday with music and culminated on Sunday.
On Saturday, the heat did not prevent the Plaça d’Europa and the Plaça del poble from filling with people of all ages. The traditional grape stomping, organized with the support of local farmers from APECRO, allowed younger attendees, some for the first time, to experience must extraction. Even the Castellví 'capgrossos' (giant figures), Rosa and Bartomeu, participated in the activity. Subsequently, the Cobla Contemporània performed a sardana dance with a relaxed style.
Saturday afternoon was marked by the 5th 'Tastets de Vi' Fair, held at the CCR venue and promoted by the Ruvins association. The event offered wines, cavas, and gastronomy until the evening, when the Nit Jove (Young Night), organized by the youth association La 963, took over the square with music and the presence of Punt Lila (a gender violence prevention service).
On Sunday, the 9th Diada castellera de Sant Miquel, along with a festival vermouth, was the midday highlight. The event featured performances by the Castellers de Sant Vicenç dels Horts and the Vailets de Gelida, as the host 'colla' (human tower group).
The celebration concluded on Sunday evening with a family show by Cia. Bitxicleta. The City Council has thanked local entities such as APECRO, the CCR, and La 963 for their collaboration, as well as the residents for their participation and civic-mindedness.
