This measure, approved in the August municipal plenary session, will set a price of 0.24 euros/kWh, plus VAT (a total of 0.29 euros/kWh), for all points where the City Council acts as the operator. Users can continue to use the EVCharge application, which will require prior registration and an associated bank card.
According to the Councilor for Environment, Andrés Medrano Muñoz, establishing a public price aims to guarantee the service's continuity and quality, while promoting energy efficiency and the electrification of consumption. Medrano indicated that the initial free service meant a cost for all citizens, and this new formula intends to be fairer and ensure the service's future viability.
